BIO
Ji Min Hong (b. 1983) has carved a distinctive niche in the art world. Her journey in art took her from Seoul to Bangkok and then to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she earned a degree in painting. Further honing her skills, she completed a painting program at the Graduate School of Hongik University in Seoul. Jimin's artistic journey spans solo and group exhibitions, animation films, and picture books, all based on her paintings.
Drawing inspiration from traditional Korean folk paintings, Jimin portrays the rich and ever-changing natural landscapes of Korea in an unreal but beautiful, playful, and elegant way. After moving her residence and workplace to Bangkok, the artist combined the lively natural landscapes created by the green forests of Korea with the lush natural landscapes created by the colorful plants of Bangkok, completing her unique wonderland scenery.
The wonderland scenery created in this manner consists of various colors and patterns that overlap and form layers repetitively. Furthermore, the arrangement of various colors disperses the viewer's gaze across the entire artwork without a precise focal point, making the color-based screen appear even flatter. In addition, the lively rhythm of the dynamic screen makes it appear wider than the actual space.
Her works feature characters created based on her childhood memories. Characters such as Ho, Shine, Berkin, Roo, and Mel are virtual life forms that gradually develop personalities and evolve into entities with stories, ultimately forming a world, Hong Jimin's wonderland. In Wonderland, Ho, Shine, and their friends harmonize with each other as they adventure through the forest and universet. Together, they are warmer and happier.

ประวัติศิลปิน

ผลงานของเธอได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากภาพวาดพื้นบ้านของเกาหลี ฮงจีมินถ่ายทอดทิวทัศน์ทางธรรมชาติที่อุดมสมบูรณ์และเปลี่ยนแปลงตลอดเวลาของเกาหลีในรูปแบบที่ สวยงาม ขี้เล่น และสง่างาม หลังจากย้ายที่อยู่อาศัยและที่ทำงานของเธอมาที่กรุงเทพฯ ศิลปินได้ผสมผสานภูมิทัศน์ธรรมชาติอันมีชีวิตชีวาที่สร้างโดยป่าสีเขียวของเกาหลี เข้ากับภูมิทัศน์ธรรมชาติอันเขียวชอุ่มที่สร้างโดยพืชพรรณหลากสีสันในกรุงเทพฯ เข้าด้วยกัน เติมเต็มทิวทัศน์ดินแดนมหัศจรรย์อันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของเธอ
ทิวทัศน์ดินแดนมหัศจรรย์ที่สร้างขึ้นในลักษณะนี้ประกอบด้วยสีและลวดลายต่างๆ ที่ทับซ้อนกันและก่อตัวเป็นชั้นๆ ซ้ำๆ นอกจากนี้ การจัดเรียงสีต่างๆ ช่วยให้ผู้ชมกระจายสายตาไปทั่วทั้งงานศิลปะโดยไม่มีจุดโฟกัสที่แม่นยำ ทำให้หน้าจอที่ใช้สีดูสวยงามยิ่งขึ้น นอกจากนี้จังหวะที่มีชีวิตชีวาของหน้าจอไดนามิกยังทำให้ดูกว้างกว่าพื้นที่จริงอีกด้วย
